ODELUCE
is funded by the Socrates Programme of the European Community
as part of the Minerva Action. Minerva seeks to promote European
co-operation in the field of Open and Distance Learning and
the role of communication and information technology (C&IT)
in Education. ODELUCE began in spring 2001 and is scheduled
to last for three years.
The
aims of ODELUCE are as follows:
1)
The development and maintenance of an Observatory on the
use of communications and information technology (C&IT)
in University continuing education across Europe
2) The creation and maintenance of an interactive
electronic forum which will form the basis for an online
community of continuing education professionals involved
in eLearning.
3) The development and dissemination of generic models
for the use of C&IT in university continuing education.
4) Evaluation of the role of eLearning in social
cohesion, especially in relation to marginalised groups.
